FAQ

  • Do you provide refreshments?
We will provide tea and coffee and other light refreshments.
  • Are there any additional costs?
Pricing Notes: There are no additional costs for fired pieces in our taster sessions or corporate sessions — everything is included! For the 10-lesson course, fired pieces will be charged by weight. This applies to all work fired, including pieces with cracks or flaws.
  • Will I be able to take my work home on the day?
All ceramic work must be bisque fired, glazed and then fired again. This is a long process so it will not be possible for students to take their work home on the same day. Your work will be ready to collect around 3-4 weeks after the date of your session. We will be in touch with you once your work is ready for collection. We are limited for space and we are only able to keep work for 2 months after we have notified you that it is ready for collection.
  • Are to 10 session classes suitable for beginners?
We welcome potters who are complete beginners. We will be able to teach the basic skills and develop your practice as you improve. We offer a relaxed beginner curriculum in all our adult pottery classes.
  • Do I need to bring anything to the workshops?
No, we will supply aprons and all equipment and materials.s.
  • What should I wear?
You should wear comfortable clothes which you don’t mind getting a bit of clay on! Layers can be a good idea as temperatures can be a little variable. All students should wear comfortable, flat shoes with non-slip soles and covered toes. Long hair should be tied back for wheel work. We also recommend that jewellery, watches and other valuables are left at home.
