The Hottest Day of June... Spent Cleaning My Studio!

While everyone else was making the most of the sunshine, I decided the hottest day of June was the perfect time to give my pottery studio a much-needed makeover!

After months (or maybe years!) of collecting glaze, I finally had some shelves installed to organise the ever-growing collection of pots. It's amazing what a difference it has made. The studio is looking so much more professional, everything has its place, and there's plenty more room to move around.

Best of all, the extra space means my lovely customers can enjoy an even more comfortable experience, whether they're throwing on the wheel or relaxing with a pottery painting session.

One of the things I love most about my studio is its setting. Nestled in the garden, it feels like a peaceful extension of the outdoors. It's a wonderful place to spend a few hours creating, surrounded by nature, birdsong, and fresh air. There's something incredibly calming about slowing down and getting your hands into clay or picking up a paintbrush.

Of course, I wasn't working alone. My faithful assistant, Nipper, was by my side throughout the day, keeping a close eye on proceedings and making sure everything was done to his exacting standards! I sometimes think he believes the studio is just one very large kennel built especially for him.

Now that everything is organised, the studio feels even more welcoming, and I can't wait to share it with everyone who visits. Whether you're trying pottery for the first time or simply looking for a relaxing way to spend a few hours, there's no better place to unwind, get creative, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
